In short: Latausasemat collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your location is never sent to us.
Who we are
Latausasemat is an iOS application that shows electric vehicle charging stations in Finland. It is developed and published by Juha Petäjäjärvi (“we”, “us”). This policy describes how the app handles information.
Data we collect
None. We do not collect or store any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
Location
With your permission, the app uses your device’s location to show nearby charging stations, calculate distances and centre the map. Location data is processed on your device and is never sent to us. When you search for charging stops along a route, the starting point (your location by default), any via points and the destination are sent to Apple’s Maps service to calculate the route, governed by Apple’s privacy policy. You can use the app without granting location access, for example by searching with an address.
Data stored on your device
Your settings (language, units, theme, car range), filters, favourite stations, recent searches, the destination and via points of a followed route and a cached copy of the public charging station data are stored locally on your device only. Recent searches can be cleared in the search view, and deleting the app removes everything.
Network connections
The app connects to two services to function:
- Fintraffic / Digitraffic (afir.digitraffic.fi) — to download open charging station data and real-time charger statuses. As with any internet request, their servers see your IP address. See the Digitraffic terms and privacy information.
- Apple Maps — the map view, address search and directions are provided by Apple’s MapKit services and are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Apart from address-search text and the route search described under Location, the app sends no personal information to either service.
The optional Open Charge Map station layer is bundled with the app as a static data file. Enabling it opens no network connections.
Purchases
The optional Pro purchase is made through Apple’s App Store. Payment is handled by Apple, and the app never sees or stores your payment details. The app only receives from Apple whether the Pro entitlement is active. Purchases are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and, as described above, collects no data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above revised before the change takes effect.
